Location: Beaverton, OR
The selected candidate will be primarily responsible designing the look and feel for all external web applications. The job includes but is not limited to wire frame comp design for software specifications, working with developers to ensure their layout fits the overall design concept, and proper UI layout and design. It is imperative that the proper candidate not only be able to create professional looking graphics and layouts, but that they completely understand the science of application usability layout in theory and in practice. There will be no production development. Flash is also not an option. Required Skills and Abilities: At least 5 years graphic design experience with the web. At least 2 years experience with usability and layout design methodologies. Experience with preparing graphics for the web, including optimization and slicing of comps for developers. Basic understanding of HTML to include use of Cascading Style Sheets, at least in theory. Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, peers, and management through written and verbal communication. Ability to communicate with customers, internal departments, and other outside parties in a professional manner. Effectively communicate with developers and quality assurance staff in the resolution of technical problems At least 5 years graphic design experience with the web. At least 2 years experience with usability and layout design methodologies. Experience with preparing graphics for the web, including optimization and slicing Basic understanding of HTML to include use of Cascading Style Sheets, at least in theory.
