We are looking for a business analyst to assist in requirements gathering and management for our agile software development team. This role requires excellent communication and facilitation skills, as well as, experience being a team collaborator and representative.
The Business Analyst works with stakeholders from all business units and related third parties to define and document business processes and software requirements for technology initiatives, including online products, content management systems, and business information systems.
Responsibilities:
· Interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
· Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, and task/process/workflow analysis
· Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
· Drive and challenge stakeholders on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
· Serve as a conduit between the customer community (internal and external) and the technology team through which requirements flow
· Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
· Write concise and effective user stories with precise and accurate acceptance criteria that will be used by development, quality assurance and product owner to insure that product owner intent is effectively captured and developed
· Work with product owner to validate and accept or reject completed features
· Facilitate rapid and meaningful releases

These skills/experiences are a must:
· 5+ years of Business Analysis experience in software development
· 2+ years of experience creating User Stories in a true Agile / Scrum / XP environment
· Proven skill and effectiveness in requirements gathering, definition, business planning, data analysis, process analysis, business and functional requirements analysis, system design, testing implementation and change management
· Experience performing end-user interviews, leading requirements gathering sessions, and User Acceptance Testing
· Exceptional soft skills, including the ability to speak to both technical and business concerns
· Detail-oriented with excellent follow through on requests and commitments
· A strong grasp of BA methodology in Agile Scrum framework and proven competency in BA standards
While not required, you can further impress us by having the following skills or experience:
· BA experience with web and mobile projects
· Previous web development experience
· Process and business modeling
· Test Driven Development (TDD) and similar “test first” techniques and methods are employed
· Healthcare domain and technology experience
· Experience in highly-regulated industries
