Title: Technical Writer/User Documentation Specialist ID: TEC00021939 Description We're looking for a Technical Writer/Documentation Specialist to join our development team in New York City. We deliver corporate tax software to multi-national companies utilizing agile methodologies on the .NET platform. Responsibilities Create user documentation and functional specifications for tax applications Create and update multiple versions of HTML on-line help Learn and remain proficient with products and end-user workflows Actively obtain information from subject matter experts and preliminary builds Assist in the reporting of software bugs using a bug tracking system At Thomson Reuters, we deliver intelligent information quickly and efficiently, so professionals have knowledge to act. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in English or proven writing experience Ability to assimilate writing style, tone, user experience level and presentation of existing documentation At Least 2 years' experience in software development environment in a user documentation capacity Solid knowledge of conventional software structures and interface controls Microsoft Word expert Proficiency in the creation of HTML on-line help using Robohelp plus Proficiency with graphic editing Agile development methodology experience plus At Thomson Reuters, we believe what we do matters.
