Our client is looking for an experienced Web Developer for their Chicago, Illinois location. This position is completely development oriented; there is no design involved. Top skills: Jquery HTML CSS PHP is nice to have Web server technologies Qualifications: Understanding of relational database concepts Working knowledge of SQL Familiarity with an IDE (Dreamweaver, Eclipse, JDeveloper, etc.) Familiarity with js libraries (JQuery preferred, Prototype, etc.) Familiarity with PHP libraries (JpGraph, PDFlib, etc.) Web programming experience (HTML, CSS, Javascript, JSP, PHP) a must Familiarity with web standards and SEO concepts A working knowledge of procedural and object-oriented code (PHP, JSP, ASP, JS, etc.) Experience with content management tools (TeamSite a plus, CVS, RCS, Subversion, etc.) Understanding of application/web server (Apache, Tomcat, Jboss, WebSphere, etc.) concepts Experience in a Linux/Unix environment Knowledge of XML and Perl a plus Intermediate knowledge of graphic/web design tools (ie, Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver) and concepts (ie, image resolution) Multimedia experience is a plus (Flash animations, web video, etc.) Customer service/support experience (help desk environment, end-user support or comparable) a must Willingness and propensity to enhance skill sets Follow style guidelines and conventions laid out by the department Comfortable working in a fast paced environment Able to work as part of a team or individually with minimal supervision Capable to cooperate with a variety of people and achieve results Willing to share acquired skills with team members through formal and informal channels Possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills May need to be available some nights/weekends.
