The 130,000 people of Xerox serve clients in more than 160 countries. Job Description - Project Lead Job Summary The Project Lead is responsible for managing and developing learning solutions. This individual is accountable for the on-time and on-budget delivery of a single project or group of projects. The Project Lead is also responsible for planning, organizing, and managing budgets under the direction of the Program Manager. The position requires instructional design experience and a demonstrated knowledge of instructor-led, virtual classroom, and web-based delivery methods. The Project Lead works with client stakeholders and subject matter experts to design and develop training solutions. The Project Lead will manage small teams of Instructional Designers, Writers, Editors, Media Developers, and vendors in the creation of instructional materials. This individual is expected to both manage teams and complete learning design and development tasks. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute project work plan according to project scope, deadlines, client needs and resource staffing. Accountable for design, development, delivery, and quality of all project deliverables. Manage project budget, identify and mitigate project risk. Manages the scope change process. Manage the customer relationship, including status meetings, gathering customer requests, maintaining customer satisfaction, billing preparation, and status reporting. Manage customer's expectations and establishes the project team's expectations. Develop presentations, lead meetings, facilitate design sessions, and advise customers on all aspects of learning solution design and development. Manage, coach, train, and evaluate teams consisting of Instructional Designers, Media Developers, and Editors. Occasionally manages outside vendors. Maintains a current knowledge of instructional design principles and theories. Articulates the basic concepts and theory of instructional design to customers and project teams.
