Brighton Permanent £31,000 - £34,000 Purpose My client is looking for a Web Designer to develop compelling on- brand visual assets for our customer facing interactive online products and services which maximize the ability to influence behaviour change within key customer groups, and meets the business requirements, enabling effective customer engagement Responsibilities Design and produce high-quality, on-brand and compelling, graphical assets to use on the websites, E-learning products or Intranet Ensure all the online products comply with government web standards for accessibility and usability Responsible for refining online design language Design email creative that appeals in look and content to the segments being targeted Ensure site design enhances, rather than compromises, site performance and usability Continuing work on expanding the online brand Working collaboratively with the UX/WCMS developer support the implementation and adoption of a user-centred design methodology within the organisation Working collaboratively with the UX/CMS developer build working prototypes to test interactive products in terms of design and functionality Essential Criteria Established and proven digital design skill, with a strong varied folio showing web design and experience Able to communicate rationale behind design work to non-designers Willingness and ability to work collaboratively with in-house web developer and graphics designer Work well and speedily under pressure, able to prioritise work and manage time effectively Obsessively customer focused, able to connect with regulatory audiences (via Personas) Meticulous eye for detail Team player, strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders across the business Experience of usability and accessibility principles, standards and techniques in relation to web graphic design Proven ability to use visual thinking, storyboards, sketching, and communication design to create compelling interaction designs Ability to build working web product prototypes in Axure or similar package in readiness for user testing. Support can be provided in this area.
