The Web Designer is responsible for the development and design of major and minor Web applications and components for external site users. The Designer will conceptualize and design applications and website components. Enhancements and defect resolution will be required on an ongoing basis. Best practices and design methods will be utilized to ensure the success of the projects. The Designer will have the ability to create web applications and components from the requirements stage, through design, and through to production deployment. This position will be required to have experience in graphics, layout, user experience design, and basic programming. Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to learn quickly in various technical and creative environments while delivering quality work by tight deadlines are key attributes of this individual. Principal Accountabilities: Operate effectively as a member of the Creative Team Operate effectively as an individual for quick turnaround of enhancements and fixes Be responsible for meeting expectations and deliverables on time and in high quality Be responsible for the design of web applications and components Be responsible for the design of web pages, graphics, multi-media, and GUIs Utilize storyboarding and graphic pre-designs where appropriate Demonstrate creative, technical, and analytical skills Demonstrate your ability to communicate effectively in technical and business environments The successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): Experience in developing websites and/or web applications Minimum 5 years of web design experience is required Solid understanding of navigation and GUI for maximizing usability Front End development experience More important is the experience of seamless integration of front to Back End functionality Practical experience in the development of HTML, CSS, and graphics creation with Photoshop, Illustrator, (Adobe Creative Suite); multi-media creation with Flash, ActionScript, (Macromedia Studio); and print design with InDesign Excellent written and oral communication skills Desire and willingness to work in a collaborative, innovative, flexible, and team-oriented environment A BS/BA University Degree is a plus, but is not required
