Our New York, New York client is looking for a stand-out, passionate, and resourceful Front End Engineer to join their Team. You will work with developers, designers, product managers, and business representatives to collaboratively create our client's premium advertising units running on mobile and tablet devices. Responsibilities: Be responsible for the development of HTML5 advertising units for iOS and android devices Own the full life cycle of development for a component of a product or system Design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, and implement software for a component of the system design Actively participate in code reviews Effectively communicate technical aspects of the job to technical and non-technical audiences Understand how a group's activities fit with other groups and the entire product The successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): Knowledge of HTML5, CSS 3, XML, and AJAX Experience building single page applications Extensive knowledge of JavaScript and JQuery Extensive experience building applications using JavaScript without libraries to reduce overhead and file weight Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve cross-browser issues Experience utilizing and creating sprites and cut art for use on web sites across browsers Preferences: Experience using GIT and other version control Flash and AS3 Previously used IDEs such as Eclipse or NetBeans Core understanding of UNIX, Apache Tomcat and server architecture Experience developing art for the web using Adobe Photoshop and similar tools Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, etc. 2-5 years of web development experience
