The Programmer/Designer will be responsible for the creation of all online visual design, including visual concept, logo and icon design for the websites. They will effectively communicate and coordinate with the Marketing manager/CEO to ensure that the visual design communicates the desired message, and functions successfully for varying technical and performance specifications. The candidate must be capable of leading the creative aspects of a project and have demonstrated strong business acumen .

Job description:
• Ability to create superior, original designs for the Websites
• Manage and update websites
• Develop concepts for and design all marketing collateral, including direct mail, newsletters, brochures, logos, and banners as needed
• Manage and maintain graphic files, including logos, photos and art
• Assist Marketing team with brainstorming, marketing and advertising strategies
• Work with Center staff to generate information and approvals for materials
• Meet all deadlines set by the marketing director/CEO

Qualifications (Required)
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communications or related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a graphic designer in the following areas: Interactive, agency creative, and graphic design
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Web design and online marketing
• Experience with web site design and updates
• Must be tech savvy
• Computer knowledge (experience with Microsoft Office), good working knowledge of Adobe CS - Photoshop/Illustrator, XHTML, CSS3, HTML 5, Java Script (jQuery, Dojo, etc), PHP, Flash, ASP/.Net, MySQL
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to handle multiple projects at once
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines is essential for a fast-paced environment
