Title: User Experience Design Intern* ID: ADM00004840 Description: Title: User Experience Design Intern Description We are looking for a smart, energetic student to help us develop our next generation products. We have multiple product lines in the web and RIA space that we are looking to unify with a brand new, top-to-bottom design. Our clients are professionals from around the world working in sophisticated applications with rich interaction models. The intern will play a critical support role in shaping the user experience of our products. Responsibilities Support the lead designer in uncovering business needs, developing design strategies and communicating design solutions Design and specify user interfaces using iterative design techniques including design studios, customer interviews and usability testing Produce design deliverables such as sketches, scenarios, wireframes, mental models and prototypes Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas and detailed design rationale both verbally and visually Help define and maintain a global patterns and guidelines library At Thomson Reuters, we deliver intelligent information quickly and efficiently, so professionals have knowledge to act. Qualifications: Very creative. Ability to express ideas in sketch format Knowledge of user-centered design processes and methodologies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Must be willing to work independently, take initiative, and learn quickly Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Familiarity with technical architectures such as HTML5, Flash, and Silverlight Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in HCI, Interaction Design or related discipline A portfolio demonstrating relevant experience in user-centric design Background in graphic or visual design a plus Experience in HTML for rapid prototyping a plus At Thomson Reuters, we believe what we do matters.
